Şükrü Gürsoy is a director, writer and cinematographer based in Türkiye. His work blends atmospheric storytelling with restrained visuals, focusing on characters caught between silence, pressure and moral ambiguity.
He has directed short films, creative documentaries and commercial work across various industries. His short film GÖMÜ (BURIED) received the Best Short Film award at the Amsterdam New Cinema Film Festival, and his documentary KAHİN (THE ORACLE) recently won Best Documentary at the HaliC GoldenHorn Film FestivalHe also works as an underwater cinematographer, contributing to feature films, commercials and documentary projects. He is currently developing multiple feature films and documentary series, including LEŞ (THE CARRION), SON TEKLİ (THE LAST ROLL), Gömü, Zeniketes, MAI WRECKS and several projects for digital platforms.
